Languedoc-Roussillon, France

Roc d'Anglade is a 7.5-hectare vineyard in Langlade, Gard, a village renowned for its exceptional wines since the 17th century. The winery aims to respect plant life and biodiversity, sharing what Baudelaire called “a song full of light and fraternity" through its wines.

Langlade has a rich tradition of producing Grand Cru wines. Notable milestones include the first written mention of vineyards in 936, recognition of Langlade’s wines as Grand Cru in the 17th century, and a royal edict by Louis XIV in 1696. By 1870, Langlade exported its wines globally, leading to significant infrastructure development.

However, the phylloxera outbreak between 1878 and 1886 devastated the vineyards. Replanting began in 1886, and Langlade wines soon gained international acclaim. Roc d’Anglade was established in 1999 and, by 2017, six winemakers were cultivating 60 hectares of vineyards, reviving the village's Grand Cru heritage.
