The owner Jacky Blot is recognized as one of the leading winemaker in the Loire Valley and makes some of the greatest Chenin Blanc in the world. Created in 1989, his 25 hectares of 50-75 years old vines produce organic wines on the best terroir of the appellation, which soil is a mix of stony limestone and clay.

DOMAINE DE LA BUTTE
Loire Master Jacky Blot acquired the 14 hectares of Domaine de la Butte in 2002. He seized the opportunity to make equally great reds by acquiring a perfect parcel of Cabernet Franc with vines of an average age of 30 years. He made an enormous impact by adopting a Burgundian approach in the vineyard, each cuvée being fermented separately according to its position on the slope. These are sensational small production red wines and are some of the most sensual Cabernet Francs in the world.
